Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms govern the website service sold under the name Siteholm. The service is provided by __OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME__, __OPERATOR_ADDRESS__, __OPERATOR_COUNTRY__ ("we", "us"). By asking for a free preview or by paying for a plan, you ("you", "the customer") accept these terms.
1. The service
- We build a website for your business with our own software, based on the brief you give us in our form.
- We host the website, keep it online and look after it for as long as your plan runs.
- The service is sold by subscription. You pay monthly or yearly and can cancel any month.
- The service is meant for businesses and sole traders. If you use it as a consumer, section 13 applies to you as well.
2. Plans and prices
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | EUR 29 | EUR 290 | A complete business website |
| Business | EUR 59 | EUR 590 | Everything in Start, plus online bookings |
| Shop | EUR 99 | EUR 990 | Everything in Business, plus an online shop with up to 250 products |
- All prices are in euro and do not include VAT. VAT is added where the law requires it.
- There is no setup fee and no free plan.
- A yearly plan costs the same as 10 months.
- Every plan includes up to 8 pages. Most sites need 4 to 7.
- The features of each plan are shown on our website and in your dashboard at the time you order.
- We may change our prices for future billing periods. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you do not accept the new price, you can cancel before it applies.
3. The free preview
- Before you pay, we build a free preview of your site from your brief.
- One free preview is allowed per email address. Variants of one address, such as added plus tags or extra dots in a Gmail address, count as the same address.
- We may ask you to confirm your email address before we start building, and we may limit the number of previews from one connection.
- The preview is shown at a private address and is not listed in search engines.
- A preview that is not paid for is taken offline after 14 days.
- The preview is shown as built. Change requests start once the site is live.
- A preview creates no obligation to buy.
4. Order and payment
- The contract for a paid plan starts when your first payment is confirmed. We then put the site live and confirm this by email.
- Payments are taken through PayPal as a recurring subscription. PayPal's own terms apply to your PayPal account.
- Your plan renews each month or each year, depending on the billing cycle you chose, until you cancel.
- If PayPal cannot collect a payment it tries again. If the subscription ends because the payment could not be collected, your plan ends in the same way as a cancellation (section 9).
5. Your site and your content
- You give us the information, text, logo and photos you want on the site. You confirm that you have the right to use them and that they do not break any law or anyone else's rights.
- Our software writes the texts and the design of the site from your brief. Please check the site before you go live and tell us about anything that is wrong. You are responsible for the facts on your site, such as prices, opening hours, offers and legal notices.
- Where you do not supply photos, we use stock photos from Pexels under the Pexels licence.
- Your own text, logo and photos stay yours. You give us the right to use them to build, host and look after your site.
- The software, templates, design system and code we use to make and run sites remain ours. While your plan runs you have the right to use your site for your business.
- We may show your live site as an example of our work. If you do not want this, email us and we stop.
6. Change requests
- Once your site is live you can ask for changes from your dashboard.
- The number of change requests per month is 2 on Start, 4 on Business and 6 on Shop. Unused requests do not carry over to the next month.
- One change request is one clear request to change content or design that is already on the site, for example new text, a new photo, new prices or a colour change.
- New pages beyond the plan limit, new features and a full redesign are not change requests.
- We carry out change requests within a reasonable time and tell you when they are done.
7. Domains
- Your site first runs at an address on our domain. You can then choose your own domain in the dashboard.
- One standard priced .com domain is included in your plan for as long as the plan runs. Other domain endings and premium names are charged at our cost price as a separate yearly subscription, shown to you before you pay.
- We register the domain in our own registrar account and renew it each year for as long as your plan runs, so you do not need to handle renewals. Where a registry's rules require it, the domain is registered with you as the holder.
- When your plan ends we stop renewing the domain and offer you a free transfer of the domain to a registrar of your choice. If you do not take up the transfer, the domain expires at the end of its current registration period.
- Not every domain ending is available. The endings we can offer are shown in your dashboard.
- You can also connect a domain you already own, or one with an ending we cannot register, such as .se, .dk or .no. You add the DNS records we show you in the dashboard. That domain stays in your own registrar account, you pay for it yourself, and you keep it when your plan ends.
8. Bookings and shop
- On Business and Shop plans your site can take online bookings. You decide your services, times and rules. The booking contract is between you and your customer.
- On the Shop plan your site can sell up to 250 products. Payments in your shop are made through your own Mollie or Stripe account. The money goes straight to you and we take no share of your sales. Fees charged by Mollie or Stripe are yours to pay under your agreement with them.
- You are the seller in your shop and the service provider for your bookings. You are responsible for your shop and booking terms, your prices, VAT, consumer rights, delivery, returns and customer service. We provide template legal pages as a starting point. They are not legal advice and you must check them for your business.
- When we store or send your customers' bookings and orders, we do so on your behalf under our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms. You can ask us for a copy at __OPERATOR_EMAIL__.
9. Cancellation and end of the plan
- You can cancel any month from your dashboard or in your PayPal account.
- After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. No further payments are taken.
- Payments for a period that has started are not refunded, except under the 14 day money back promise (section 10) or where the law requires it.
- When the plan ends, your site goes offline, we stop renewing your domain and we offer you a free domain transfer (section 7).
- We delete your site and the data linked to it within 90 days after the plan ends, except records we must keep by law. Before the plan ends, you can ask us for a copy of the content you gave us.
10. 14 day money back
- If you are not happy, you can ask for your money back within 14 days of your first payment. Use your dashboard or email us.
- We then cancel your subscription, take the site offline and refund your first plan payment in full to the way you paid.
- A domain that has already been registered cannot be cancelled at the registry. Paid domain fees are not part of the money back. We offer you the domain as a free transfer, or we let it expire.
- The money back applies once per customer and only to the first payment of the first plan.
- You do not need to give a reason. The refund is made within 14 days of your request.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use the service for content or activities that are illegal, misleading, hateful, sexual content involving minors, malware, phishing, spam, infringement of others' rights, or anything that puts our systems or other customers at risk. We may refuse a brief, remove content or suspend a site that breaks this rule. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
12. Reporting illegal content
Anyone can report content on a site we host that they believe is illegal by emailing __OPERATOR_EMAIL__. Please include the web address, why you think the content is illegal, and your name and email address. We review every report, act on it without undue delay and tell the person who reported it and the site owner what we decided and why. This email address is also our single point of contact for authorities and for users under the EU Digital Services Act. We answer in English, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.
13. If you are a consumer
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
- You have a legal right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Our 14 day money back (section 10) gives you at least the same, a full refund of your first payment, even though the service has already started.
14. Availability and support
- We aim to keep sites online at all times, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, faults at our hosting provider or events outside our control can cause downtime.
- Support is by email at __OPERATOR_EMAIL__.
15. Liability
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data, unless we caused it on purpose or by gross negligence.
- Our total liability under these terms in any 12 month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
- These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or to a consumer's mandatory rights.
16. Privacy
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. For personal data of your own customers, our Data Processing Agreement applies.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that affect you, we email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change applies. The version on our website is the current one.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of __GOVERNING_LAW__. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to solve the problem together.
