Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancelling and money back work at Siteholm. It is part of our Terms of Service.

The free preview

The preview of your site is free. You pay nothing unless you decide to put the site live.

14 day money back

• If you are not happy with your site, you can ask for your money back within 14 days of your first payment.
• Ask from your dashboard, or email __OPERATOR_EMAIL__ from the address you signed up with.
• You do not need to give a reason.
• We cancel your subscription, take the site offline and refund your first plan payment in full.
• The refund goes back to the way you paid through PayPal, within 14 days of your request. Your bank or PayPal may take a few more days to show it.
• The money back applies once per customer, to the first payment of the first plan.

Domains and the money back

A domain that has been registered for you cannot be cancelled at the registry. For that reason, a separately paid domain fee is not refunded once the domain is registered. You keep the right to use the domain. We offer it to you as a free transfer to a registrar of your choice, or we let it expire.

Cancelling your plan

• You can cancel any month, from your dashboard or in your PayPal account.
• No further payments are taken after you cancel.
• Your plan and site stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Payments for a period that has started are not refunded, except under the 14 day money back or where the law requires it.
• A yearly plan can be cancelled at any time. It then stops at the end of the paid year and does not renew.

What happens when the plan ends

• Your site goes offline.
• We stop renewing your domain.
• We email you an offer to transfer your domain to a registrar of your choice, free of charge.
• Your separate domain subscription, if you have one, is cancelled at the same time.
• We delete your site and its data within 90 days, except records we must keep by law.

If you are a consumer

If you live in the EU or EEA and buy as a consumer, you have a legal right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days. Our money back gives you a full refund of your first payment in that time, even though the service has already started. Your mandatory consumer rights are not limited by this policy.

Payments that fail

If PayPal cannot collect a payment it tries again. If the subscription ends because the payment could not be collected, the plan ends as described above.
